Welcome to the stage... House of Circus
Meet the two powerhouses who combine circus and drag
They don't dance, they work, swing on a trapeze, balance, fly, sing and impress
Rising stars Nick and Germain combine explosive circus and drag performance in House of Circus. With lots of glitter and humor, they touch upon vulnerable themes such as self-expression, strength and gender identity. Their motto: “Be who you want to be, wear what you want to wear, and love you who you want to love". In this interview, we talk about their unique performance style and their dreams for the future.
Come as you are and see House of Circus on Friday, January 30 at Podium Hoge Woerd!
The art and performances we create are a mix of circus and drag. Our motto is “Be who you want to be, wear what you want to wear, and love you who you want to love”. We like to create a space in the theatre where everyone feels welcome and we can all laugh together.
Our performance really resembles our personal discovery and development of drag. We like to take the audience by the hand and let them discover our drag from the first layer.
We wish the audience leaves with a smile on their faces. At the same time we hope they reflect and make take a moment to think about their own identity. If they remember and apply out motto in their lives that would be a big win for everyone ;)

We realized that it is important to enjoy what you are doing on stage. The Joy we shared resonates with the audience. In drag we feel complete freedom to create and we both are specialized circus artists. The combination started as an experiment and in our own opinion ended up as a succes.
The combination of the two really makes us unique, we are pioneers bringing these artforms together and create our own universes.
We are part of the Nieuwe Makers regeling from the FPK. That means the next two years we will be able to keep developing and redefining our artistry. Our new theatre performance will premiere in January 2027. Our ultimate dream is that we can keep on growing and expanding and share our art.

The performance by House of Circus on Friday, January 30, is part of Great Catch. During this night, you get to know a new generation of talented circus artists selected by the Circus Coalitie.
